Let us know the ages of your children

We had approximately 90 folks from the local area and across the U. S.

Joann Keenan brought a quilt she found in an old chest from her grandmother, Annetta R. Lauffer. The "crazy quilt" is in remarkable condition and shows the time and detail put into it. The quilt dates back over 100 years.

Joann and her Grandmothers "Crazy Quilt"

The descendants of Hannah C. Lauffer brought photo copies of the following quilt that was made by Hannah. Information on this quilt is being put together by Holly Jeffries from North Carolina. Holly was not able to make the reunion but her parents, sister, and cousin did come in. This is known as an Indian Star quilt.

Lots of needlework went onto this quilt!

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed meetings everyone.  We hope to have more family attend in 2010.  Mark your calendars for August 15!

Each person attending had a name tag showing which child of Christian Lauffer Sr.'s children they are descended from:

Unfortunately, not everyone made the photo shoot.  Also, it can be seen some of the lines need more representation.  We are fortunate the Knukle folks came in to represent the Peter line.

Interestingly, I was contacted by Will Christman of Ohio one week after the reunion. He is from the Elizabeth line and will be providing more information from her line down through the Christmans. He plans to attend next year's reunion and hopefully will bring others from Elizabeth's line.

It should be noted the Henry line and the John line were equally represented. We need to have a contest for next year to see which line has the most representation.  I am banking on the Henry line but there is no bias in this what so ever!

For those of you who do not have Christian's Children memorized, Click here for a chart on his family.

See you all next year!

God Bless,

Jim Lauffer Sr.
