The Publication Date has been changed due to the overwhelming amount of data being submitted.

The family history has grown from 8,000 people to over 17,000 20,000 23,000, 27,000, 28,000, 31,000, 32,000, 35,000 since January 2009.  The History Book will require three volumes.

I know I have continually promised a publishing date but if you have been living long enough, you will know these dates have come and gone.  I finally had to admit that, until I retire again, the effort on this book will be focused on collecting family history. 

This not all lost since I do try to keep the website up to date.  It is due for another update now.

 

This Lauffer History book will be a family heirloom that will be enjoyed for many generations.  As most of you know, this will be the second publication of the Lauffer History with the first being published in 1906.  

Since this will be a hard copy publication, it is very important for everyone to provide up-to-date information on their family line.  This is an opportunity to have your family information written in history for your family members to enjoy.  This will provide the ancestry in-site that has taken years to research and document. 

The point to keep in mind:

If your family history is not documented by you, it will probably be lost forever!

I can not promise a specific delivery date based on all the variables involved with this.  The Book is a very large task with imputing and correcting of data, and the formatting and imputing of photos.  The book is now over to 2000 pages and I, as well as you, want to make this a family heirloom with as much accurate and readable family history as possible.  I try to keep the website up-to-date on the latest information but this also gets behind.  Conflicts include my full time paying job with lots of international travel, and my volunteer work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children (CASA) worker, and short term mission work through our Church. I had the fortunate opportunity to visit one of our Churches and schools in Ethiopia in 2010.

I realize many of you have been disappointed in not receiving the Book as planned, but all I can say is please be patient, it will get there.  At least the new arrivals are getting their place in the History Book!
